Alexandra Wood, DVM

Alexandra Wood, DVM is a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also attended OSU for her undergraduate studies, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Wood spent most of her undergraduate time on the OSU junior varsity polo team and spent her summers working at Pine Ridge Equine as a veterinary assistant. She joined the Advanced Care team immediately upon her graduation in May of 2023. 

Dr. Wood was born in Tulsa, OK, and lived in Broken Arrow until moving to Stillwater in 2016.?While attending Broken Arrow High School, Dr. Wood was a member of the FFA sporting clay team and acted as the Broken Arrow FFA chapter secretary during her senior year. She also enjoyed competing with her horses as well as weekend trail riding. She is the youngest child in a family of six with five older brothers. Her family is made even larger with 5 horses, 3 German Shepherds, one cat, and a sulcata tortoise.  

Some of Dr. Wood’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include Dermatology, ophthalmology, and laceration repairs!
